BizVisualizer: Upload Balance Sheet + P&L Totals

Goal

Upload your Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (Totals) files into BizVisualizer.


Step 1: Open the Upload page

  • If this is your first time uploading data for a company, BizVisualizer may take you straight to the Upload screen after login.
  • If you’ve uploaded before, click Upload in the top menu to open the Upload page.

Step 2: Select your QuickBooks data source

Next to QuickBooks Data Source:, choose Desktop or Online.

If you change the QuickBooks data source here, BizVisualizer may prompt you to save that selection in Preferences so it becomes your default next time.


Step 3: Choose your files

  1. Select your Balance Sheet export file (BS)
  2. Select your Profit & Loss export file (P&L Totals)

Do not mix these up:

  • The Balance Sheet upload must be the Balance Sheet file
  • The P&L upload must be the Totals P&L (not Class-based)

Step 4: Upload

Click Upload Financials.


Step 5: Check next steps (after upload)

After uploading, BizVisualizer may prompt you to:

  • Categorize accounts (required the first time, and later only for new accounts)
  • Enter monthly headcount (if you have new months)

When you add new months of data, BizVisualizer will tell you how many months are missing headcount so you can quickly fill in the gaps.
